Remembering Remmy and Boogers
"Grief is not a disorder, a disease or a sign of weakness. It is an emotional, physical and spiritual necessity, the price you pay for love. The only cure for grief is to grieve" ~ Earl Grollman
A year ago, in the beginning of May, I lost my beloved Remmy. He was my first brother the staff adopted in October of 2010 from Ferret Dreams Rescue and Adoption. He came into rescue a severe and unpredictable biter, but the directors felt he could be adopted out to the right home - and he came to live with us. After a few months he was giving the staff kisses, beginning to act like a ferret, and making a notable improvement in behavior. He was even going out shopping with me and the staff! He left us too suddenly and will forever be missed; I am sorry (and will never be able to say it enough) and miss you terribly Remmy.
Badger, or more famously known as Boogers, was brought into our family in the very beginning of 2011. He has been blogged about here previously, and he left us after a brief stint with that dreaded "C" word. I appreciate every day I had the privilege of spending with his enlightened and affectionate personality; he has inspired me to do more to help ferrets everywhere. I hope I was able to tell him thank you more than he needed to hear before he left. Thank you Boogers, thank you.
In just three incredibly short months I lost my two brothers last year; today I honor their memory here and with a donation to Ferret Dreams. @vscook has more great ways to honor our pets on Bunny's Blog.

Awww, poor little mites. I love ferrets, they're so sweet and it's so sad when you lose a pet or an animal you've known so well. xxx

Our beloved Blazes are at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for that wonderful time when we will all be together again. Though I know they did say we're allowed to open our hearts to other Blazes who need us!
